Are you having computer issues?
Let's try to sort that out!

You can contact the IT department directly at IT_help@ccstn.org, and they will address your issue as soon as possible. (If you are typing that in, it's IT_help. It's hard to see the underscore on a hyperlink.) Make sure to tell them the type of computer you have and provide a detailed description of the issue.

If you don't want to email IT, try to restart your computer and give it a chance to update. You can also bring your computer to the library or email krystal.moberly@ccstn.org

Try these steps before you submit an issue. It is very likely that your computer needs an update that will fix whatever is going on.

  1. Plug your computer into a wall outlet.

  2. Close all open programs and applications.

  3. If you can, use the menu to select shutdown from the power options. If you can't use that menu, hold the power button down until the system powers off completely.

  4. Once it has powered completely off, press the power button to turn it back on.

  5. Let it do its thing. It may start to run updates. Once it reaches the sign in screen, sign in, but give it time to fully power up. Don't try to force open applications/programs immediately.

Do not underestimate the importance of a charged battery! When your system is at less than 30%, there are things it will not do (updates, for example). Sometimes just plugging it into the wall for a few hours and then restarting it will give it the juice it needs to fix itself.
